The Ministry of Youth and Sports (MoYS) and the National Sports Authority (NSA) are preparing to enhance the matchday experience for fans as Ghana’s Black Stars face Angola in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on September 5 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
This initiative includes an upgraded e-ticketing system aimed at improving entry processes and overall fan experience.
Reflecting on the platform’s success during the Ghana vs. Nigeria 2022 World Cup qualifiers, Youth and Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif remarked, “The digital economy has come to stay. A streamlined ticketing system guarantees faster access, enhanced security, and a more transparent process for all involved.”
NSA Chairman Seth Pawwum Boyoyo added, “The e-ticketing platform has now been significantly upgraded to enable attendees to be assigned to specific seats within the stadium. This is a first in Ghana since we hosted the AFCON in 2008.”
To ensure a smooth experience, over 1,200 match-day personnel and security forces will be deployed to assist fans and enforce safety measures.
Fans can purchase tickets online through www.ghanastadium.com or via short code *711#, with the upgraded system promising a more organised and enjoyable matchday experience.
